An accord of contrasting notes, inspired by a Pre-Columbian elixir. Cocoa, vanilla, cloves and poppy are accentuated by the heat of chilli.
Piment Brûlant was inspired by the Aztec drink xocolatl, a bitter mixture of cacao, chilli and spices. Legend has it that the emperor Montezuma drank up to 50 cups every day to give him vitality for visiting his harem. The anticipated fire of chilli and cocoa is transformed into a fresh green scent. Piment Brûlant is best described as sheer and summery. It is a perfect example of alchemy.
